Tests on a new composite material !

I have conducted last nite and whole day yesterday tests to laminate wood plies in a heavy pressure to produce something like epoxy resin based super plywood. So far two test spesimen have been weighed and analysed. The other became of 8 plies of 1.2 mm thick pine ( 460 kg/m3 dry ) and the other of 12 plies of 0.7 mm thick plies ( 370 kg/m3 dry ). The first was glued with 5 minute epoxy and was 780 kg/m3 and the other with more pressure and became 910 kg/m3 also with a bit slower drying epoxy. The plies were in to the same direction...so it became very very strong in bending...but did twist just a tad.
